MY MONTSERRAT AND WINERY

MY MONTSERRAT MOUNTAIN & WINERY

Enjoy a wonderful day in Montserrat and at the MontRubi wineries!

Montserrat, Catalonia's sacred jewel, offers a sublime fusion of nature's grandeur and spiritual serenity. Amidst this natural splendor lies the revered Montserrat Abbey, a sacred sanctuary where pilgrims have sought solace for centuries. After visiting Montserrat, you will enjoy the Montrubi winery. Step back in time to the late XVIII century when the roots of their story began. Nestled in the quaint village of L'Avellà, a cooperative emerged, crafting exquisite wines and oils cherished far beyond the Spanish borders, finding their way to the vibrant shores of Cuba. As the XX century unfolded, the echoes of tradition lingered amidst the abandoned halls of the Avellà winery, while the ancestral vineyards continued to thrive under the stewardship of historic sharecroppers. In 1984, a pivotal moment ignited a new chapter in their journey. The Peris family, captivated by the rich historical tapestry woven within the walls of a modest winery and inspired by the untapped potential of L'Avellà's terroir, laid the foundation for MontRubí. With a vision as sparkling as the stars above, MontRubí was born, heralding a renaissance of winemaking excellence and the dawn of a legacy rooted in passion and tradition.
